Michael Beaumont has over 30 years of experience in operational risk management and engineering for the mining sector. Currently, Michael is the leader of a team of specialist loss prevention engineers at FM Global, a world-leading risk management and commercial property insurer. Originally from Canada, Michael came to Australia nearly 30 years ago as a field engineer for FM and he now leads a team that are building resiliency into many of the top businesses in Australia. A key focus has been within mining for his career, particularly in the metallurgical refining field, where he has written papers and articles about understanding losses, better risk mitigation, and leveraging predictive analytics to build more robust future risk management strategies.
