Shaheen Hughes is the Inclusion and Engagement lead at Gold Fields Australia, working on gender equity and safety and leading the organisation’s Respectful Workplaces initiative. Shaheen was previously the inaugural Chief Executive of human rights not-for-profit, the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance, and founding Director of UWA’s In the Zone initiative. She has a background in international, national, and state policy, advocacy and communications, and a master’s degree in International Communications from the University of Leeds in the UK. In her spare time, Shaheen loves to write, and is looking forward to the publication of her first story in the anthology: Growing Up Indian in Australia.
