Prior to joining MDO, Al Badi held several senior roles at Vale, one of the world’s largest diversified mining companies, culminating in his appointment as Chief Operating Officer in Oman. His career has spanned key domains across the mining value chain, including iron ore pelletizing, logistics infrastructure, operational performance, and culture-led organizational change. He is credited with driving step-change improvements in productivity, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
At MDO, Al Badi is leading the company’s transformation into a mining holding powerhouse focused on exploration, development, and value creation across copper, chromite, and industrial minerals.
