Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Science at Edith Cowan University
(ECU), Australia, where he coordinates the Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security)
program. As a researcher at ECU's Centre for Securing Digital Futures, he focuses on
cybersecurity challenges in critical infrastructure, particularly within operational
technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) environments. Dr. Ibrahim's research
encompasses cyber-physical system security, malware detection, and the human
factors influencing cybersecurity. He has led and contributed to projects addressing
cybersecurity risks in sectors such as mining and port operations. His work often involves
simulating cyber threats to assess and improve system resilience. An active contributor
to the cybersecurity community, Dr. Ibrahim has published extensively in peer-reviewed
journals and conferences. Dr. Ibrahim is passionate about advancing cybersecurity
education and has been involved in initiatives to enhance cybersecurity curricula at the
