Prof Helge Janicke was the CEO and Research Director of the Cyber Security CRC, he was responsible for the CRC’s research portfolio and impact/commercialisation efforts.
Helge has broad management and leadership experience in both research and wider academia through his role as Head of School for Computer Science at De Montfort University (UK), where he also established the Cyber Technology Institute, a NCSC recognised centre of excellence.
Helge has been honoured in The Australian's 2024 list of top 250 scientists, marking him as a distinguished leader in the field of Computer Security and Cryptology.
Prof. Helge Janicke is an expert on cyber security and cyber resilience in cyber physical systems and their application in critical national infrastructures. Helge’s research is considering the risks arising from comparatively slow evolution of critical infrastructures and the interplay of modern control systems approaches and legacy systems present in critical infrastructures.
