With over 25 years of experience, I am a seasoned professional specializing in health, safety, security, risk management, and compliance. Currently serving as the Director of Health, Safety, and Security at Newmont Mining's Cadia Valley Operations, I am a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. My role encompasses oversight of critical areas such as Health and Hygiene, Return to Work programs, Access Control, Security, Emergency Response, Assurance, Material Risk, Operational Risk, Document Control, and Ethics and Compliance.
Throughout my career, I have held diverse and impactful roles, including Senior Rail Safety Officer, Aviation Security Inspector and Auditor, Regional Contracts and Compliance Manager in Afghanistan, Senior Compliance Officer at the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, Federal Police Officer with the Australian Federal Police, and Company Sergeant Major in the Australian Army. These roles have honed my expertise in managing complex risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safeguarding people and assets in dynamic and high-stakes environments.
