Shelley is an experienced senior executive with a successful career spanning thirty years in oil and gas, resources, mining, and renewable energy. She has extensive experience in delivering effective, inclusive leadership that drives results-oriented business transformation.
Her most recent role was with Mineral Resources as Executive General Manager – Energy, where she was responsible for the strategic oversight of the oil and gas exploration and development portfolio, and for providing energy solutions for existing operations and greenfield projects. Shelley was pivotal in building the energy portfolio into a core pillar of the business, including leading the business to a significant gas discovery, and in driving the business focus on decarbonisation. She was Champion of the Reconciliation Action Plan, and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.
Prior to this role, Shelley was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX-listed Norwest Energy, where she spent almost a decade leading a multi-discipline team in exploration and development of core assets, international joint- venture management and commercial negotiations.
Shelley has postgraduate qualifications in business and engineering and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her prior volunteer roles include membership of the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry General Council, Non-Executive Director of the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre, and Acting Chair of Guildford Grammar School. Shelley was a finalist in the 2023 Chamber of Minerals and Energy Outstanding Woman in Resources Award and is the recipient of an Australian Bravery Medal.
